Incentives for solar and small renewable projects
Solar Electric (Photovoltaic)
Mass Energy - For an opportunity for additional revenue from your solar installation, learn about Mass Energy's Solar REC Sales.
Massachusetts Technology Collaborative - The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC) invites rebate applications for its Commonwealth Solar initiative. Commonwealth Solar provides rebates through a non-competitive application process for the installation of PV projects at residential, commercial, industrial, and public facilities. Non-residential projects are eligible for rebates for PV projects up to 500 kilowatts (kW) and residential projects are eligible for up to 5 kW. The applicant (and project site) must be a customer of a Massachusetts investor-owned electric utility.
Solar Hot Water (Solar Thermal)
KeySpan Gas - If you are a Keyspan Gas customer (now National Grid), please call your utility and ask about their rebates for installing domestic solar hot water installations.
Tax Incentives
DSIRE - The Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency (DSIRE) has a listing of tax incentives for federal benefits and for individual states. Look for incentives applicable to you at www.dsireusa.org.
